Saving Water Whilst Enjoying Sparkling Crocks

Ever since I had my new kitchen with it’s lovely shiny stainless steel sink, I’ve become slightly obsessed with cleaning and polishing all things steel.  I even find myself wiping down the light switches which were changed from manky old white plastic to brushed stainless steel.  I never thought about co-ordinating items before but it does make such a difference to the overall feeling of calm control available in my space.  I have to use the well known spray for removing calcified limescale which builds up very quickly round the taps and basins.  A quick spray around, then good rinse off is followed by drying down with a soft tea toweel.  I decided not to replace the rather grubby old steel plate draining rack – my kitchen was installed at the height of the scorching ho smmer with posible wter shortages. I decided to not hand wash up.  Apart from having a brand new eco dishwasher, I found a problem with the hot water supply to the kitchen sink meant not enough steaming hot water ever comes through.  I  have to run off 7 litres o cold before the warm starts – so I need a watering can at hand so as not to waste this valuable resource.  So as I can get three days of crocks in one dishwasher load, I’m saving hundreds of litres of water every day.  Simples!
